My artistic practice explores human behaviour, contemporary imaginaries, and the ways in which we construct meaning in contexts of uncertainty, excess and transformation. I am interested in how we live, what we desire, the systems we uphold, and the fictions we create to make sense of reality.
I work across image, text, space and the construction of atmospheres. Although painting is often my starting point, I do not conceive of works as isolated objects, but as parts of broader systems that move towards installation, performance and sensory environments. My background in theatre, art direction, scenography and exhibition installation deeply informs my practice: each project seeks to construct a particular experience, tension or atmosphere.
I am drawn to chaos, contradiction, eroticism, spirituality, digital culture, and the ways in which the political and the intimate continually intertwine in everyday life. I work with images, symbols and situations that oscillate between the absurd, the vulnerable, the apocalyptic and the celebratory.
I see each project as a space where critique, humour, discomfort and desire coexist; a place where collapse can also become ritual, fiction or the possibility of transformation.
